Having people, pets, homes, cottages or other special subjects painted in watercolor are unique artworks for your home or office. A hand-painted portrait is also a very personal gift and a lasting remembrance.
Paintings are completed from photo references that you provide. The best results come from sharp, clear color photographs that include varying distances and angles, and good lighting. The more information I have to work from, the more accurate the portrait will be. If possible, I can take the photos myself. Naturally, there will be some artistic interpretation, and the result will be a beautiful and recognizable watercolor portrait.

Fees for commissioned paintings vary depending upon the complexity and size of the piece.
A nice image size is 10"x 14". When matted with an acid-free double mat, your painting will measure 16"x 20", and will be ready to frame. You can purchase your painting unmatted if you prefer to choose mat colors yourself.
Upon receipt of your photographs and a deposit, I will do my best to complete your painting within 4 to 6 weeks. Upon request, your original photographs will be returned. Emailed photos often work very well, too. Every effort will be made to ensure your complete satisfaction.
